2.1 灭火剂 extinguishing agent
    能够有效地破坏燃烧条件，终止燃烧的物质。
2.2 灭火剂效能 extinguishing efficiency
    灭火剂有效地破坏燃烧条件，终止燃烧的能力。
2.3 相容性 compatibility
    两种或两种以上不同类别的灭火剂联用时，具有不导致任何一种灭火剂灭火效能明显降低的性能。
2.4 燃料 fuel
    燃烧时产生热能、光能的物质。
2.5 含水率 rate of water content
    灭火剂中所含水分的百分比。
2.6 灭火剂余量 residual content of extinguishing agent
    在灭火容器内灭火剂完全释放后，余留在灭火容器内的灭火剂量。
2.7 水溶性液体燃料 water-miscible fuel
    可与水互相混溶的液体燃料。一般指醇类、酯类、酮类、醛类、醚类等可燃液体。
2.8 灭火试验 fire-extinguishing test
    检验灭火剂灭火效能的试验。
2.9 添加剂 additive
    添加到灭火剂中的能保证灭火性能的物质。
2.10 预燃时间 preburning time
    从燃料被点燃到开始施用灭火剂所经历的时间。
2.11 灭火时间 fire-extinguishing time
    从施用灭火剂开始到火焰完全熄灭所经历的时间。
